John Quennell Appointed as Kingsville’s New Deputy Fire Chief

The Town of Kingsville announced John Quennell’s temporary appointment as Deputy Fire Chief on Friday, Oct. 16, 2020. He will take on the leadership and oversight for the fire department, as the current Fire Chief and Deputy Chief are on indefinite leaves of absence. Quennell will be part of the Municipal Senior Management Team, reporting to the town’s Chief Administrative Officer. All volunteer firefighters will report to him.

Recently, Quennell was Deputy Fire Chief at the Town of Lakeshore. From 1978 until 2010, he was a firefighter with the City of Windsor, eventually retiring with the rank of Assistant Chief.

“We’re pleased to have Chief Quennell join our municipality and provide leadership during this time,” said Kingsville Mayor Nelson Santos, as reported on the Town of Kingsville website. “The residents and businesses of Kingsville can rest assured that the Fire Department continues to provide high quality fire and rescue services and will continue to do so as they are called upon in the time of need.”

  1. Hi Scooter! I remember you — and your eldest:) — very well. I understand your pain all too well, when it comes to typos. So nice to hear from you!

  2. Way to go, Jody. From an old neighbour at 111. I and our eldest, can see typos as they just jump out at us. Very annoying.
