Kingsville Says Goodbye to Stage 1 and Joins the Rest of the Province in Stage 2

During Monday’s daily briefing, Ontario Premier Doug Ford had some welcome news for Kingsville and Leamington, the only towns in the province still in Stage 1. Both towns will be allowed to move up to Stage 2 at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2020.

Ford expressed his appreciation for the cooperation, hard work and patience from the mayors and their communities as they have worked toward containing COVID-19 in the agri-farm sector.

“Outbreaks in the community have been contained, community transmission is low, and we have the resources for testing and contact tracing,” Ford said.

Meanwhile, barbers in the region should sharpen their scissors because the premier is heading this way. Ford said that he’s been putting off getting his hair cut until all of Ontario attained Stage 2. He’s decided to get the job done in Kingsville or Leamington. This will be the most celebrated hair cut here in some time.
