Thinking of ways to benefit the community during COVID-19, our Treasurer Heather Pillon saw the idea of an outdoor structure at Chartwell Kingsville Retirement Residence at 240 Main Street East. Such a structure would help enable people to visit safely, yet in close proximity.

We quickly put the plan into action and teamed up with local Labourers Union (LIUNA) to build a “visiting structure” to be used at the Chartwell residence.  The union graciously donated some materials and talented contractors, while we sourced the plexiglass.

As you can see by the pictures, the residents will now get to visit loved ones, while staying safe!  Partnerships in Action!
