Good News!!
We are reopening Sunday, June 28, 2020
… and we want to make the reopening EXCITING, JOYFUL, ENCOURAGING and SIMPLE
Dear Friends and Supporters of First Lutheran Church Kingsville,
Last week Premier Ford announced that certain restrictions have been lifted, allowing churches the process of slowly reopening. This is exciting news! We are inviting you to be encouraged, as we work hard to prepare the church, as a safe place of worship for our community.
I know that this has been a very difficult time for all of us. This week marks the first joyful step of us coming back together as a church community, continuing to be formed as faithful and loving disciples.
The Process for Reopening:
We can accommodate only 50 people per service based on mandated 30% of church capacity. Therefore, we will start with two services:
• First Regular Morning Service at 10:15 a.m.
• The Second Service will be later Sunday Afternoon. Time to be determined.
Reopening will be in 3 phases:
Phase 1: (June 7-14) Preparation of a plan for the re-opening and consolidate directions for volunteers. What they will do before, during and after worship services.
Phase 2: (June 16-21) Recruiting and educating volunteers.
Phase 3: (June 21—28) Very Exciting time as we approach re-opening. We will be communicating with a video on our Facebook page on what the re-opening will look like.
Key Points We Need to Remember as We Prepare to Open Our Doors:
1. The proper protocols and procedures will be in place so that everyone is safe. We will keep it simple.
2. We will continue our church ministries adapting to the circumstances, always seeking to build community, form disciples and reach out to those who are in most need.
3.We will continue to build up and develop our online presence, knowing that we serve people beyond our church.
We are very excited to see all of you and start worshiping our Lord together.
