First Baptist Church Kingsville has been a thriving congregation since it was founded in 1823. Although we currently are not meeting physically, this body of believers is learning that the church is far more than a building!
We are living out our mission statement, “We are committed to becoming fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ, and inviting others to do the same,” in ways we could have never envisioned before this pandemic kept us physically distant.
Spiritually and emotionally, we are finding new ways to encourage and connect with each other and our community. We are currently “meeting” in prayer groups and Bible studies on Zoom and reaching out to one another through phone calls, text and emails.
We look forward to the day, hopefully in the near future, when we can gather again for Sunday services, Sunday school, our monthly Community Dinner, youth groups, prayer meetings, hosting the Kingsville Public School’s Breakfast program, and in the myriad of small and community groups that meet and call First Baptist church their faith home! Until then, we continue to lean into God’s leading and connect however we can.
As our leadership researches and plans what reopening safely to gather together again will look like, we encourage you to connect with us on our website or on Facebook at FirstBaptistChurchKingsville for the latest sermons, blog posts and news.
